My Story ; My Strength

This is going to be short because I'll probably be too emotional to go through everything. When I was in elementary school, I was bullied. Nobody ever hit me or anything. People just didn't talk to me. I never had any friends... Every time I tried to talk to someone they would just call me stupid or I wasn't worth their time. I honestly had zero friend. I hates going to school for the longest time. It was really hard when I went to school because I was so isolated. I was then diagnosed with depression and ADHD. My grades began to fall, I stayed home more often, and I often considered suicide. I failed my forth grade year and everything became a lot better. I met new kids and people actually wanted to be my friend. Now I'm 18 years old and I'm finishing up my senior year. I plan on going to college for culinary arts next fall. I recently talked a friend out of committing suicide. She was going to do it that night, but I spoke up. I spoke up for her because I knew she wouldn't do it. Now she's getting help and she's much happier. All anyone has to do is speak up. If you're getting bullied, don't just take it. Make sound for a voice not heard.

Don't Worry, There Are People Who Care.

Hi, my name is Lydia. I am 11 years old and in 6th grade. All throughout my school life, I have been bullied. My best friend would always stand up for me when that happened. Then, in 3rd grade, my best friend left. Then the bullying got worse. I was being excluded from games and groups, called "freak and "nerd", and it got to the point that I didn't want to go to school in the morning. I would sit alone at lunch every day, praying that it would turn around. Then, I saw a commercial about bullying. I told my teacher, who did all that she could to stop it. Then, one day, a boy came to sit by me at lunch. I told him how I felt, and he would protect me when I would be bullied. He started being bullied as well, but he told me he didn't care. He then got all of the boys to be on our side. The bullying then callmed down, but it would still happen from time to time, because I was hanging out with the boys so much, girls would question whether or not i was a girl (for some wierd reason). The bullying will still happen now, but I have gotton on the good side of the most popular girl. Now, I will not stand by when someone is being bullied. I will try my best to put a stop to it immediately. I try, so you should try, too.

Stand Up be A Friend

Jessica Jumper is 25 years old and lives in Texas. Here is her story:

Hi, My name is Jessica Jumper.
I have been bullied all the way through high school. I got teased and picked on. I even had a threat made at me. I have had many surgeries due to my special needs. In the 5th grade, I got into fight because no one took care of it [being bul...lying].
I want to tell anybody that if you see someone being bullied, step up be a friend. It is not fun to be picked on. I have Chromosome 18 disorder. It means one of of the Chromosomes of my arm is missing from the 18th Chromosome. I do have special need and while I look different from everybody else, it doesn’t mean [that it's okay] to pick on people that look or talk funny.

On what to do if you’re being bullied:

[If you are being bullied by someone else], I would say find an adult a teacher, parent, or someone you can trust and someone you know will help you. If [you don't want to do that], try to talk to the person bullying you. Maybe that person could have been bullied too. I have done that before and it has sometimes helped.
Just be strong and don’t bully anyone. People don’t realize that [the pain that comes with] name calling does last more then bones getting broke or physical pain.
  Glad to help someone.

  Sincerely,
  Jessica Jumper

Speak Up

I have a 12 year old daughter that is in 6th grade. The last 2 years she has had a gun put to her head on the playground and nothing was done. I fought and fought for her rights to end up with nothing. We move to a new school district and again a boy keeps bullying girls including my daughter. He has made fun of her, threatened her, she told me and I passed it on to the teacher thinking something would be done and again, nothing. my daughter wanted to take her life because nobody would listen to her call for help. She took a knife to school but didn't release the blade. She felt no way out but to pretend to not be scared or take her own life. She is expelled and on probation and the boy is still attending and doing the same thing to other students.

Stay Strong

I just watched the movie and my heart breaks that this is happening and continues to happen.  I cried during the entire movie.  I am from Toronto.  and I was bullied in high school for the longest 2 years of my life.  21 years later and it still hurts.  I still see the girls that bullied me in and around the city, on the bus or at the grocery store and every time, I feel like I am going backwards in a tunnel to when I was 15.  I wish I could help every kid out there as a mother and for the 15 year old I once was.  I contemplated many many things when this was happening to me.  Stay strong please.  It does get better, stick up for yourself and these kids are not your life.

Stupid girls

I've been bullied many times. I was in kindergarten and I always hung out with boys and I guess the other girls got jealous or something. I didn't hang with them because we had nothing in common! The dudes I hung with played Pokemon, watched Star Wars, Indiana jones, all those good stuff, but girls always told me go hang with you BOYFRIENDS! I felt terrible I was dislexic and I couldn't read well so people made fun of me accept the boys. I felt actual protection from them. Well I moved in 4 grade but that's a diff story. Girls would pour sand on my head, push me, on the monkey bars they would rush or move my hands to make me fall, etc. I cam home once with a bruise on my forehead and chin from that! And they said I passed out! Two girls ONLY TWO OUT OF THE TEN became my friend. MADDIE and Lauren. It was sad leaving them In 4 grade but they were the only reason besides, Noah b., Noah k., chance, Andrew, and Jonathan. And a few other Girls in diff grades. I miss you maddie and Lauren!

I fought for my bro

Ok first year of a new school.... Deep breath in and out.....ok so I almost got sucked into the mean troublemakers group in school. They were mean girls who loved pushing peoples buttons! SHEESH! They were all sweet and kind, happy rainbows and unicorns like, but then I saw them bully!:O! first library I met a girl named Julia (my BFF currently) and she had two amazing friends but one turned into a bully so now we hate her, want me to name her or no? Ok her names Nia, she was my BFF also but then she became a B**** she was mean a show off, know it all, etc. then I met Leah Mae and haley also my BFFS with jewels it's Julia's nickname. Anyway the title is about my bro so he was in 7 grade and I was in 4 but he was bullied big time! I felt terrible! Her name was raven! She was also a you-know-what she called him fat(it was muscle), stupid( STFU he graduated with a gold cord and you didn't he was the only boy to also),ugly, etc. so he told our parents and the teacher, and principle. The teach made raven write a note. I saw her in the bathroom and said why do u bully ppl? She was like who r u? She bullies EVERYONE!!! Me, my friends, EVERYONE!!! I said dont mess with the chick who has a dad that knows archery and still has the bow and arrows. She said your such a freak and graduated(hallejuia!) no one missed her after that! THE BEAST HAS BEEN TAMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Words hurt.

I was and still am a victim of bullying. I am bullied because I am unique, different, but I was born this way. I'm bullied because my hair color is different from others. I'm a ginger and I'm proud of it. People think it's funny to bully people who are "different" but in all reality, we are all the same! We may not look, act, or sound the same, but we are an that's the way God made us. I was bullied ever since I was little. It's slowed down as I've got older, but it does still happen. So, I've taken my experience with bullies and helped people around me. I try to help my friends be positive and have the best outlook on life because they too are being bullied. My story to you is that even though we may look different, we are all the same, and we are all equals. We need to treat each other with respect and love one another for our "flaws".
